Russell L. Hiller Charitable Trust

Russell L. Hiller Charitable Trust

When Federal bankruptcy Judge Russell L. Hiller passed away in December of 2003 at the age of 97, he stipulated in his will that he would like a trust established at Berks County Community Foundation. Every year, the trust provides a grant to the Mifflin Community Library, the Borough of Shillington (for the park and the pool), to Albright College, and for scholarships for Governor Mifflin High School students. Hiller lived in Shillington for 60 years, and frequently walked through the Shillington Borough parks and was passionate about education. He ensured that both recreation and the pursuit of education would be maintained and upheld in Shillington.
