The Camella Maggs Client Memorial Fund (Berks County Angel Fund)
Mark Maggs, of Merrill Lynch Maggs and Associates in Wyomissing, PA, and Linda K. Camella, his former partner, started the Camella Maggs Client Memorial Fund in 2004 in honor of some of their long term clients. The fund was created to make annual grants for children in Berks County who have physical or learning disabilities. The goal of the grants is to help children realize and pursue their full potentials with dignity. One of the recipients of a grant from this fund was Tyler Carter of Topton, PA. Because of the birth defect fibularhemomila, Carter was born without the fibula in his right leg. By the age of one, his right leg was amputated below the knee. He started skiing when he was just 8 years old, and in 2014, he made the U.S. Paralympic Ski Team and competed in Sochi, Russia. Some of his training costs were covered by the Camella Maggs Client Memorial Fund.
